Championship season is here!

September marks one of the busiest and most exciting stretches on the RaceSense calendar. Across multiple classes and continents, sailors are preparing for a packed month of high-level competition. The month begins in Split, Croatia, with the Star World Championship. Few fleets carry the history and prestige of the Star Class, and the Worlds consistently gather some of the biggest names in the sport.

Across the Atlantic, the NCESA National Championship for the E Scow will take place at Little Egg Harbor from September 5–7. At the same time, the Pacific Northwest will see the Lake Washington Fall Regatta (September 6–7), where J/24s and J/70s come together for two days of racing hosted by CYC Seattle.

One of the month’s most anticipated events is the Switch Global Championship, held for the first time in Malcesine on Lake Garda from September 10–15. As the class makes its debut on the world stage, this championship will be the perfect stage to show the excitement and growth of one of sailing’s newest classes.

While fast foilers race on Garda, the MC Scow Nationals in Madison, WI will see over 90 boast taking place in their first National Championship with RaceSense.

Later in the month, Kingston, Canada, hosts Fall CORK on September 20–21.               This event brings together Waszps and Wingfoils for two days of high-intensity racing. The Lightning North Americans will run RaceSense in Wrightsville Beach, NC.

The spotlight then shifts to the U.S. East Coast, where the J/70 Corinthian Worlds will be hosted by Eastern Yacht Club in Marblehead from September 22–28. Featuring all-amateur crews, this regatta is part of one of sailing’s most popular classes. Immediately after, attention turns to the RS21 Worlds, running from September 24–28.

The month concludes back in Seattle with the PSSC Small Boat Regatta on September 27–28. With J/24s and J/70s again headlining, the regatta rounds off a month filled with variety, tradition, and championship racing at every level.
