Halfway There: RaceSense Mid-Season Recap

As we approach the halfway point of the 2025 season, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on the journey RaceSense has made so far. Since January, RaceSense has been on the water at over 150 events, spanning both sides of the Atlantic, across winter series, spring championships, and early-season major regattas. From North America to Europe, Australia, and beyond, RaceSense has quietly become part of the rhythm of racing in dozens of classes and fleets.

What’s been most exciting to see is the incredible variety of boats, formats, and fleets that have adopted RaceSense this season. The system has supported grand-prix keelboat racing at events like the Etchells Worlds, the 52 Super Series, and the GL52 circuit. At the same time, RaceSense has been fully at home in highly competitive sportboat fleets, including J/70s, J/24s, Melges 15s, Melges 20s, and Melges MCs. Scow fleets across the Midwest have integrated RaceSense throughout their spring schedules, with both E Scow and A Scow championships running with RaceSense on the course. Later this year, the MC and C Scow will contend for their Inland Championships, all run by RaceSense.

On the foiling side, RaceSense has powered a growing lineup of Waszp events, from regional Atlantic Coast and Americas championships to SailGP Inspire Waszp events and even Foiling Weeks in Pensacola and Garda. And we’ve seen expanding adoption across different fleets as well — from VX One to RS21, Star, Dragon, BirdyFish, and even mixed regattas like Charleston Race Week and the Bacardi Cup.

Since the start of the year, we’ve trained 12 new clubs and classes to run RaceSense themselves - from KSSS in Sweden to the Mendota Yacht Club in Madison, Wisconsin, our RaceSense operator community has grown beyond 80 certified users.

Across all these events, one thing has remained consistent: RaceSense is delivering the kind of reliable, data-driven clarity that helps both sailors and race officials. From more accurate starts to faster, cleaner debriefs, RaceSense has continued to prove its value across a wide spectrum of racing, regardless of class size, boat speed, or race format.

With the busiest part of the season still ahead, we’re looking forward to an even stronger second half of 2025. More events, more classes, and more opportunities to keep making race management smarter.

Stay tuned.
