SailGP Inspire and Vakaros Enter New Multi-Year Partnership!

Cadiz, SPAIN
In a new, exciting partnership for young sailors everywhere, Vakaros and SailGP Inspire are partnering to bring groundbreaking technology to Inspire Racing.
Inspire is SailGP’s community, education and outreach initiative, powered by the belief that sailing can be a force for good. Through Inspire, SailGP aims to make the sport of sailing more accessible for young people without barriers to entry around race, gender or socioeconomic status.
Its Racing program offers opportunities to get behind the scenes, meet the world’s best sailing athletes and take part in a racing program on the F50 racecourse in front of massive crowds. Vakaros brings the Atlas 2 instrument with RaceSense technology, including automatic OCS detection, distance-to-line, and timing, to the Inspire Waszp fleet, offering a glimpse of F50 style racing for the strongest youth sailors around the globe. SailGP Inspire is the latest of a number of organizations to bring on RaceSense as a key race management tool.
Vakaros founder Jake Keilman adds that "The SailGP racing experience is incredible, and part of preparing young sailors for F50 racing is experiencing technology, and knowing how to use it to get around the course faster. We're thrilled to bring a slice of that to Inspire racing to engage and teach the next generation of SailGP stars.”
With the addition of RaceSense, Inspire moves closer to the 'Racecourse of the Future', complete with MarkSetBot autonomous marks, fast, foiling Waszps, ePropulsion-powered RIBs, and next generation data analysis through Vakaros.
Aside from the implications for sailors, implementing RaceSense will allow SailGP to slim its race management team, cutting carbon emissions and allowing for a more sustainable series.
